Next CMA Health and Activity Workshop:
The Art of Food, The Art of Meditation, and The Art of Qigong
with Jayney Goddard MSc and Martin Sayer
Do join us on the 20th, 27th November and 4th December 7.30pm - 9.30pm - WRVS Centre, Elizabeth Blackman Hall, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex
The combination of Diet, Meditation and Qigong is something not commonly taught together.
Many people work on their Diet and watch what they eat, while others work on their physical and spiritual bodies using Meditation and the ancient Chinese health and gentle exercise system known as Qigong. Not everyone has the combined knowledge and time to do all three.
This is where leading holistic health experts Jayney and Martin come in. Martin Sayer has studied meditation and Qigong along with other energy arts for over thirty years while Jayney Goddard has studied and taught the science of food and optimum nutrition, complementary medicine and natural healthcare over the last three decades.
This is our aim for the future:
On this amazing three part course you'll learn all about the benefits of a complete health system of training. The results of Meditation and Qigong can be massively increased with a good understanding of nutrition and balancing what we eat.
And so in these three workshops we hope to show you not only the physical benefits of these wonderful arts (yes good healthy eating is an art – as are meditation and qigong) but also how these three elements combined can truly change your entire being physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Busting the Food Myths:
Everything you'll learn on this course is based on the very best, most robust information that science has to offer - we believe very strongly in providing you with the evidence that supports our recommendations. Knowing why we are doing what we do makes it so much easier to stick to a programme!
As you know, the way we eat is generally dictated by society, i.e. three good meals a day containing your 'five a day' with a mix of meat and dairy.
But in many cases this is actually detrimental to the body's metabolism, especially when training and practicing certain meditation and qigong techniques. The way the energy body works can be very influenced by food and how, when and why it is consumed. In all esoteric practices mindfulness is paramount to obtain certain energetic and psychological states of being.
If we feed ourselves with the wrong foods then the energy body simply cannot function on the higher levels of vibrational frequency required for advanced practice.
Likewise in meditation being able to adjust the amounts of food as well as the kinds of foods we put into ourselves will affect the mind's ability to expand and receive higher wisdom, awakenings and realisations leading to various kinds of enlightenment.
Food affects us on every level, physical, emotional and psychological. It is essential in the recovery process for all illness whether it is a minor virus or a chronic condition.
Our body's ability to regenerate is truly remarkable but ultimately is very much governed by what we put in it.
This incredible set of classes is suitable for nyone and everyone interested in being healthy and well so do bring your friends and family - and also please forward this email to anyone you think might appreciate it!
