Optional Yoga classes - our yoga facilities are set within the impressive luxury villa Cortijo Las Salinas. The perfect venue for a yoga retreat, nestled within a land of olive trees, deep blue skies and white washed villages.
Whether you are a fully fledged practitioner or always wanted to try yoga we have optional classes for you. These are specially tailored so that you can work at your own pace - challenging you just enough, but ensuring that you don't over-stretch. We are particularly experienced at working with people who have mobility challenges, including arthritis, (OA and RA), MS, Ankylosing Spondylitis and we love to see the incredible progress that our guests make each day.

Our beautiful yoga classes are taught by Steffi Goddard; Artist, Yoga Teacher and Reiki Healer
Steffi has spent her professional life as a successful artist and art teacher, working on many community and schools projects, teaching children and aldults of all ages to experience the joy of painting, including working with Down Syndrome and Aspergers.
She also has an impressive list of collectors worlwide and regularly exhibits her work in galleries in England and Spain.
Steffi has practiced yoga all her life, and is a qualified yoga teacher and Reiki healer. Her dream was to open a retreat in Spain where she could bring together individuals for art and yoga and for other professional teachers to do the same.

Speciality Treatment Journeys can last from 1-3hrs and may incorporate Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Chakra Balancing, Reiki, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Lomi Lomi, Auricular Therapy and Holistic Facial Therapy.
Your consultation will reveal the Ayuvedic disciplines that will benefit your personality traits ensuring a divine treatment Journey that will leave you peaceful, balanced and with a wonderful sense of wellbeing. Walking – we have several walking routes available – which range from the gentle to the more challenging. One of the most popular walks starts at the Villa, making your way down to the gently babbling river below the Cortijo las Salinas.
You can then choose to simply sit and absorb the beauty of the nature surrounding you, being transported into reveries of delight, provoked by the cool clean waters, bird song and gentle warm breeze. Or, if you feel like being more active you can walk with us down stream in the river (it’s not deep – so perfectly safe) to the natural pool and waterfall where you can swim and play – recapturing those precious childhood memories of a time when everything was a fresh, exciting adventure.

Meditation – calming our minds and becoming ‘mindful’ has enormous health benefits – mentally, emotionally and physically.
On our retreats Jayney Goddard teaches a number of beautiful guided meditations and she will also share with you much of the information that she learned when at Harvard Medical School, studying with Dr Herbert Benson at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind/Body Medicine.
Dr Herbert Benson is considered to be the ‘father’ of Mind/Body Medicine and he pioneered a particular type of meditation called 'The Relaxation Response'.
This easy to learn (and even easier to do) meditation practice has been shown to help us become more resilient to stress – which helps us to cope more easily when life throws us the odd 'curve ball'.
